Green Lean development workshop

Who should attend?

This course is for anyone planning for or participating in development projects. During the training, the trainees are trained in Lean Six Sigma development methodology, Sustainability, and development project best practices. Learning is supported by Airport Simulation practices and an E-learning environment that is available for students 1 month after the contact days. This way we can ensure that people with different learning styles and abilities can adapt to the development model and attend development projects successfully.

Content:

The course includes 12 modules, that enable sufficient understanding needed for working as team members in development projects. The modules are the following:

  1. Green Lean principles
  2. Green Lean development process
  3. DMAIC –process from Green Lean point of view; Sustainability principles
  4. Green Lean project roles and responsibilities; Gate Review process
  5. The role of the Project Manager
  6. Project planning
  7. Define phase basics
  8. Measure phase and goals
  9. Analyze phase; tools and steps
  10.  Improve phase; tools and steps
  11. Control phase; tools and steps; Continuous improvement
  12. Handover to organization and Kaizen (commitment to Learning Organization)

 

The course duration is 2 days with 8 hours a day and it can be extended by 1 – 3 days to cover some company-specific needs.

The participants receive an EGLA certificate after the completion of the course.

The training includes Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt level training as set by international standards and a short introduction to Sustainability principles (Economical Sustainability, Ecological Sustainability, and Social Sustainability). Sustainable development and sustainable working methods are growing in importance in World Class operations as demand for their partners. Green Lean offers this to organizations using it both as a tool for effective operations and marketing providing an edge in global as well as domestic markets.

The training language is either English or when done by some national EGLA office, the local language. We have trainers and materials for the growing number of languages.

The course includes 8 modules, that enable sufficient understanding needed for working as team members in sustainable development projects. The modules are the following:

  1. Sustainability definitions and goals nationally and internationally
  2. Defining your organization’s present state regarding responsible and sustainable development and leadership
  3. The gap between existing and future (target) states; setting the goals for sustainability
  4. Innovations and product planning based on sustainability; the ways to get a competitive advantage
  5. The barriers to developing more responsible and sustainable operations, management, and system; finding the root causes
  6. Planning the change process for responsible and sustainable working
  7. Implementation of changes in different functions and starting the change of the organization’s culture
  8. Building a responsible and sustainable future; getting benefits.
